For sale on consignment is a 1940 production Springfield armory Gas Trap M1 Garand. This rare rifle is chambered in 30-06. The gas trap garands were only produced for a short time before production switched to the M1 we all know and love. These rifles are very hard to come by, and this one is a beautiful example. This rifle has an original correct dated receiver for a gas trap, but does have some reproduction parts on it. This M1 is in very good overall shape, with some small handling marks.
